Jose Guzman, MA., is a Ph.D. student at the Human Dimensions of Natural Resources department at Colorado State University. Jose comes from a career in entrepreneurial business. He has successfully started four companies in retail trade, wholesale textile industry, adventure travel, and hospitality. The goals of his current career path involve a multidisciplined approach to sustainable education by drawing knowledge from his degrees in anthropology, sustainability, nonprofit management, tourism, and electronics technology. He plans to investigate the best methods to educate stakeholders in preserving cultural identity and the co-creation of responsible travel. Jose works in adventure travel at Cusco in Peru, where he frequents the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. His primary residence is in the Vail Valley of Colorado. There he enjoys winter skiing, bicycling, hiking, classical music concerts, and contemporary dance.
