How do I submit an abstract?

Abstracts have to be submitted online through Ex Ordo before April 15, 2016. Abstracts should have a title of 8 words or less, a body of 350 words or less and address one or more of the conference key topics; or any other topic that is relevant to Tourism studies.

How do I submit an Organized Session or Symposia?

Symposia have to be submitted online through Ex Ordo before March 15, 2016. Symposia proposals should address one or more of the conference key topics; or any other topic that is relevant to tourism studies, and must include a description of the panel (350 words or less),  Symposia worksheets for each abstract (350 words or less), as well as the name of the symposia organizer.

Will accommodation be provided?

No, accommodation will not be provided. All participants need to arrange travel and accommodation themselves; it is not included in the registration fee.

We highly recommend considering vacation rental websites such as airbnb.com and vrbo.com when booking your accommodations in Alghero. Can I attend the conference for one day?

The Tourism Naturally Conference has a one day registration rate of $150.00 USD.

How do I register?

Registration is required for all presenters and participants. Please register online via the Registration tab at the top of this page.

All presenters must register and pay for the conference and no later than July 15, 2016. Late cancellations prohibit others from presenting their findings, so please be considerate in making your decision to submit.

Are there guidelines for the presentations?

The conference language is English so all the abstracts and the individual abstracts are to be in English. In general, each presenter will be allotted 20 minutes (15 minutes to present and 5 minutes for questions). Some sessions may have additional discussion time available.

How do I know what day and time I will present?

A first version of the detailed schedule will be published on this website in August 2016. But please note that the exact time-slot for your presentation may change at any time (up to the start of the conference) as we develop relevant panels and allow time to adjust for withdrawals and other changes.

How do I know if my abstract was accepted?

If your abstract is selected, you will be notified with an acceptance e-mail by June 15th, 2016.

Is there a conference schedule available?

A tentative conference schedule can be found under the Schedule tab at the top of this page. A more detailed schedule will be released in August 2016 and will be continuously updated.

How do I upload my PowerPoint presentation?

Those who are selected to present will be required to upload their PowerPoint files to their Ex Ordo account no later than September 26, 2016. We recommend uploading early. You will be able to make revisions to your presentation by logging into your online account until September 26, 2016. Furthermore, please make sure to bring a backup copy of your presentation with you to to conference.
