The Fort Collins Urban Sustainability Research Network (USRN) is a platform for enhancing collaborations among the diverse organizations, institutions, and communities dedicated to building a sustainable future for Fort Collins, and other cities along the Front Range. Through this platform we are developing a systematic approach to the region’s urban research needs and comprehensive sustainability goals. This team aims to build capacity among diverse partners and stakeholders to create innovative and equitable place-based solutions that could influence how cities around the globe approach and fund sustainability efforts.

Fort Collins USRN Goals

1. Establish multiple successful transdisciplinary research projects that will advance the use of scientific results to support smart policy development.
2. Build strong transdisciplinary teams that can develop innovative research and policy solutions associated with the grand challenges facing the City of Fort Collins
3. Identify and apply to diverse funding agencies aligned with the projects and challenges identified by USRN partners.
