My general interests are in landscape ecology and conservation biology. More specific interests include wildlife movement, population ecology, carnivore ecology, and ecological modeling. For my current research, we are exploring novel approaches to modeling connectivity at landscape scales. While my primary training has been in Veterinary medicine, following the completion of my masters degree in wildlife biology I have been involved in projects dealing with the ecology and conservation of diverse taxa. Most recently I was engaged with WWF-India in a project addressing the landscape ecology of large mammals in the Indian Terai. Ever since I have been fascinated by the conservation challenges associated with protected areas embedded within agricultural landscapes.
