National Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.warnercnr.colostate.edu\/davidcooper\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/02\/shapeimage_2-8.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-591\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.warnercnr.colostate.edu\/davidcooper\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/02\/shapeimage_2-8-300x140.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"621\" height=\"290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.warnercnr.colostate.edu\/davidcooper\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/02\/shapeimage_2-8-300x140.png 300w, https:\/\/sites.warnercnr.colostate.edu\/davidcooper\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/02\/shapeimage_2-8-624x290.png 624w, https:\/\/sites.warnercnr.colostate.edu\/davidcooper\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/02\/shapeimage_2-8.png 630w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 621px) 100vw, 621px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_1\">I have worked with the National Park Service Inventory and Monitoring Program for many years to design, and implement, statistically based sampling programs for wetlands.\u00a0 We have completed and implemented designs for Rocky Mt National Park in Colorado, Yosemite and Sequoia\/Kings Canyon National Parks in California, Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado, and are working on a design for Grand Canyon.\u00a0 We will also start a new design for Glacier National Park shortly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_1\">This work originated with a project in cooperation with the US Forest Service Rocky Mountain Regional office in Denver.\u00a0 We designed watershed scale and local scale analyses and assessments for the Bighorn, Grand Mesa, Gunnison and Uncompahgre, San Juan, White River National Forests.\u00a0 We are currently working on such an analysis of the Arapahoe &amp; Roosevelt National Forests.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_2\">We are also analyzing the effects of snowmobile use on Rabbit Ears Pass in the Routt National Forest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_2\">The photo shows MS graduate student Katie Driver implementing the protocol for a fen in the Tonahutu Creek basin in Rocky Mt.
