I also enjoyed hiking and exploring mountain streams from a young age.

When I was in high school, I did a simple research related to fluid , and since then I have also been interested in fluid flow and how water moves. In my current undergraduate research, I study coastal erosional landforms in Japan using 3D survey data. I am interested in how erosion creates and changes landforms, and how we can understand these processes.

I am also interested in how human structures such as dams and levees change rivers and coasts.

My research topic for my master’s degree has not been decided yet, but I hope to continue studying geomorphology related to water. I am especially interested in how water, sediment, erosion, and human activities shape landscapes and how these landscapes change over time.

Home Institution: The University of Tokyo Host: Ellen Wohl Email: uda-sayuri105@g.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp About Me: I am a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Tokyo.
