<a href=\"http:\/\/warnercnr.colostate.edu\/~gwhite\/mark\/markhelp\/idx.htm\">Index<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: medium\"><b>Results File<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\">The Results File holds the results of previous model runs.\u00a0 The file is a dBase file, with memo fields to hold the numerical estimation output, variance-covariance matrices, and the residuals from the model.\u00a0 The results file is named with the same root name as the <a href=\"http:\/\/warnercnr.colostate.edu\/~gwhite\/mark\/markhelp\/encounter_histories_file.htm\">Encounter Histories File<\/a> used to create it, but with the DBF extension.\u00a0 In addition, an FPT file is created to hold the memo fields (output, variance-covariance matrices, and residuals), and a CDX file holds the index orderings (<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\"><a href=\"http:\/\/warnercnr.colostate.edu\/~gwhite\/mark\/markhelp\/model_name.htm\">Model Name<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\"><a href=\"http:\/\/warnercnr.colostate.edu\/~gwhite\/mark\/markhelp\/qaicc.htm\">QAICc<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\"><a href=\"http:\/\/warnercnr.colostate.edu\/~gwhite\/mark\/markhelp\/number_parameters.htm\">Number of Parameters<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\">, and <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\"><a href=\"http:\/\/warnercnr.colostate.edu\/~gwhite\/mark\/markhelp\/deviance.htm\">Deviance<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\">).\u00a0 The CDX file should disappear and be recreated with each run.\u00a0 Keep the 2 files (DBF and FPT) together.\u00a0 Once the results file has been created, the input file containing the encounter histories is no longer necessary, as this information has been stored in the result file.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\">To save your complete MARK results to another disk, you need to copy both the DBF and FPT files.\u00a0 Likewise, to provide somebody else your MARK results, supply them with these 2 files.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\">The data can be replaced and the existing models re-run with the <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\"><a href=\"http:\/\/warnercnr.colostate.edu\/~gwhite\/mark\/markhelp\/replace_data.htm\">Replace Data<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\"> menu choice.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Contents &#8211;
