<a href=\"http:\/\/oldweb.warnercnr.colostate.edu\/~gwhite\/mark\/markhelp\/idx.htm\">Index<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: medium\"><b>Real Parameters<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\">Real parameters are parameters that are estimated through the likelihood function based on the rows of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.warnercnr.colostate.edu\/gwhite\/design-matrix\/\">design matrix<\/a>.\u00a0 Each column of the design matrix causes a <a href=\"http:\/\/oldweb.warnercnr.colostate.edu\/~gwhite\/mark\/markhelp\/beta_parameters.htm\">beta parameter<\/a> to be estimated.\u00a0 Each row of the design matrix generates a real parameter estimate.\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/oldweb.warnercnr.colostate.edu\/~gwhite\/mark\/markhelp\/derived_parameters.htm\">Derived parameters<\/a> are parameter estimates that are derived from either the real parameter estimates or the <a href=\"http:\/\/oldweb.warnercnr.colostate.edu\/~gwhite\/mark\/markhelp\/beta_parameters.htm\">beta parameter<\/a> estimates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.warnercnr.colostate.edu\/gwhite\/real-vc-matrix\/\">variance-covariance matrix<\/a> of the real parameters is also available.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\">The default confidence intervals for real parameter estimates in the 0-1 interval are based on the standard error and the logit transformation.\u00a0 That is, a 95% confidence interval is computed on the logit estimate, and then these intervals are transformed to the real scale.\u00a0 Use of the logit transformation precludes confidence interval boundaries outside the 0-1 interval.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.warnercnr.colostate.edu\/gwhite\/profile-likelihood-confidence-intervals\/\">Profile likelihood confidence intervals<\/a> can also be computed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: small\">Note that the values of the real parameters printed in the output depends on the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.warnercnr.colostate.edu\/gwhite\/individual-covariates-real-parameter-estimates\/\">individual covariate values specified<\/a>.\u00a0 Also, the standard error and confidence intervals reported for the real parameters depends on the value of <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.warnercnr.colostate.edu\/gwhite\/chat\/\">c-hat<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Contents &#8211;
