High Altitude Revegetation (HAR) promotes understanding of revegetation procedures when fragile high elevation and high plains ecosystems are disturbed by human activities. The committee is a grassroots group interested in the revegetation and restoration of plant communities and ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We provide information to people interested in the vegetation aspects of mined land, ski slopes, road building, revegetation, native plants, forests & rangelands, ecological restoration, or wetlands.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Turning Hazards to Habitat: Reclamation of Surface Coal Mines on the Western Slope of Colorado<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for joining us for the 2025 Field Tour! Attendees viewed 5 decades of reclamation success at several of the most awarded coal mining operations in the country. Attendees left Denver and traveled on vans to Colorado mines located near Steamboat Springs, Craig and Meeker. Attendees viewed Peabody mining operation on day one and Trapper and Colowyo Coal operation on day two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
