Most notably, they spent two years working as a manager for E.L.I.E., a captive and wild elephant focused N.G.O. in Cambodia.<\/p>\n<p>Tyler&#8217;s research focuses on Social-Ecological science and community-based conservation to find innovative solutions that simultaneously improve local livelihoods and achieve elephant conservation aims. Current projects concern human-elephant conflict mitigation using alternative crops and market-based connections in Sri Lanka and across Asia.<\/p>\n<p>Outside work and academia, Tyler is an advocate and organizer for social and environmental justice movements.
