Right now we cannot deny that cities, towns, and other human-dominated environments, are consuming a majority of the world’s resources, while producing a huge amount of waste.  We also recognize that cities can be highly efficient and are centers of diversity, innovation, and inspiration.  Committing to the science and practice of “Ecology FOR Cities”, means that we are actively engaged in creating sustainable, resilient, and vibrant communities.
