Description:
Join the growing movement of environmental professionals working with marginalized communities to increase access to nature’s benefits through programs and projects that are specifically useful and relevant to these historically excluded communities. Learn the psychology of how to build community members’ long-term ownership and motivation to access nature’s benefits by co-designing environmental programs with (not for) diverse communities.  Catalyze the urgent and equitable engagement needed to increase this access in our world today. Through detailed case studies of conservation projects that have effectively applied psychology to increase marginalized peoples’ access to nature, this training dives deep into collaborator mapping, budgeting, iterative planning, and measuring effectiveness to help you to learn the seminal tenets of why and how to create inclusive nature programming that will last long after your work is complete.
