Prospective Graduate Students

Big news! The RAAIN Lab is moving! Starting in January of 2026, we will join the Rubenstein School of Natural Resources at the University of Vermont. Subsequently, we are recruiting a fully-funded 12-month PhD student (5 years-including summer) to start in the fall of 2026. This student would be working on projects to understand how interacting with nature can influence human brain activity (EEG), stress physiology (ECG), and cognition. Opportunities for Dr. LoTemplio to advise this student in the neuroscience or psych program may also exist for the right student. Reach out to Dr. LoTemplio via email (sara.lotemplio@colostate.edu) with your CV and a note describing your interests in the lab.

If you are interested, you should begin the process by emailing her describing your interest, and attaching your CV. If your interests are aligned, you will be invited to apply to the UVM graduate program.

Timeline for applications

  1. Please email Dr. LoTemplio (sara.lotemplio@colostate.edu) with your CV and describing your interest and what degree you are seeking before December 1st 2025 (though much earlier is appreciated)
  2. Additionally, please submit your formal application to UVM by the date due. Note that this can vary depending on program/department. Reach out if you are confused.
  3. Dr. LoTemplio will invite candidates to interview around January/February of 2026
  4. You will be notified of formal acceptance or rejection around March/April of 2026
