December of 2024: Congratulations to Amelie for successfully defending her Honors Thesis titled, “Applying Stress Recovery Theory: Outdoor Intervention for Dementia Agitation Reduction in Memory Care Homes” and on her graduation!


In November of 2024, the first iteration of our nature, aging, and virtual reality study was featured in a CSU SOURCE Special Report on tourism and recreation! In October of 2024, Dr. LoTemplio, Sara-Ashley, and Sharde presented at the Society for Psychophysiological Research Annual Meeting in Prague, Czech Republic! Congratulations to Sara-Ashley for receiving an SPR Travel Award and to Sharde for volunteering at the event!


Also in April of 2024, lab members, Jordan and Josh, presented on the lab’s research at the CSU Undergraduate Research & Creativity Showcase!

In April of 2024, the lab presented at the Rocky Mountain Psychological Association Conference in Denver, CO! There, our collaborators from the Davalos Lab at CSU and the Language and Memory Aging (LaMA) Lab at the University of Utah presented as well!


In October of 2023, PI Sara LoTemplio co-authored a publication titled, “Healthy by Nature: Policy Practices Aimed at Maximizing the Human Behavioral Health Benefits of Nature Contact.” The article discusses research on nature’s benefits for health and well-being and offers policy recommendations for increasing nature accessibility and research inclusivity.
