Call for Abstracts

Abstracts and Session Proposals due by Dec. 15, 2018

Oral and poster presentation abstracts and proposals for organized oral sessions are now being accepted. Be sure to submit by December 15, 2018, for full consideration.

We are seeking high quality oral and poster presentations by practitioners, scientists, land managers, students and policymakers to enhance our understanding of restoration and revegetation in diverse ecosystems using a variety of methods.

Proposals for groups of 3-4 talks organized around a common theme are also being accepted. Formats for organized sessions could include a plenary format with four 15-minute oral presentations plus 5-minute discussion for each, or 3 talks followed by a moderated panel discussion. Contributions on ANY topic related to revegetation or restoration of regional ecosystems are welcome. Topic areas may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring restoration success
  • Revegetation techniques
  • Mined land restoration
  • Forest, grassland or shrubland restoration
  • Wetland and riparian restoration
  • Urban restoration
  • Post-fire restoration
  • Restoration of species of concern
  • Restoration challenges in the face of biological invasion
  • Restoration of ecosystem services
  • Restoration case studies
  • Social aspects of restoration
  • Restoration genetics
  • Community assembly
  • Monitoring and adaptive management
  • Etc.

  1. Title of presentation
  2. Presenting author name, affiliation, address, phone number, and email
  3. Co-author(s) name, affiliation, address
  4. Abstract (max 1500 characters)
