Teaching/Mentoring

Graduate Students

I am always interested in working with motivated graduate students with interests in conservation and evolutionary oriented ecological research. My mentoring style is one of guided independence, and I encourage students to think broadly about directions of research that will expand both theoretical and applied understanding.

I will post funded opportunities in my lab as they arise. Inquiries regarding positions should include a complete C.V., including undergraduate GPA and GRE scores, and a brief but well developed description of research directions of interest. Students with developed research projects and funding are encouraged to contact me.

Those interested in international projects such as studying African elephants should be forewarned that securing funding is required!

Postdocs

My interests cover a wide range of ecological, evolutionary and applied directions and I am open to working on a variety of systems. Please email me to discuss possible research directions. I will post any funded postdoc opportunities.
