Conference Scholarships
To apply for a scholarship, ALL APPLICANTS must fill out the application form by 14 February 2026. Late applicants will be considered after those received by the deadline. Scholarship awards will be announced by 2 March 2026.
Pathways Scholarship information:
Due to increases in travel costs and funding limitations, some researchers and practitioners may struggle to find sufficient funding to attend the conference (due to limitations based on home country, early career funding limitations, or lack of funding from their organization). In response, the Pathways team is offering a limited number of scholarships for the Pathways Europe 2026 conference and training.
These scholarships are designed to help with conference registration for people with financial limitations. For successful applicants, the scholarship will cover the full cost of registration (£200 for students, £450 for non-students).
While having an abstract submitted is not a requirement for application or award, preference will be given to applicants with accepted submissions related to human dimensions of wildlife.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:
Successful applicants will be awarded a voucher to cover the full cost of registration for the conference (£200 for students, £450 for non-students). Filling out the scholarship application does not mean you will be awarded a scholarship. We have received an increased number of scholarship applications in recent years and will be awarding the most deserving scholars, based on our scholarship rubric.
The scholarship is open to all individuals (including students) who meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
- Applicants must demonstrate the ability to cover the remainder of their costs not covered by the scholarship (travel, meals, incidentals, etc.).
- If the applicant is from outside the UK, the applicant must either possess a UK VISA or demonstrate the ability to obtain one.
- While not required, preference will be given to applicants with accepted submissions for the Pathways Europe 2026 conference.
Application review will be double-blind.
Please note, successful applicants will be responsible for covering the cost of travel and other incidentals independently.
Scholarship Applications are due by 14 February 2026. Late applicants will be considered after those received by the deadline.
In order to be considered for a scholarship, all applicants must fully complete the application here.
Please Note: While having an abstract submitted for the conference is not required to be eligible for a scholarship, preference will be given to applicants with whose abstracts are accepted for the Pathways Europe 2026 program. We highly encourage all applicants to submit abstracts for consideration via the Exordo portal at https://pathwayseurope2026.exordo.com/.
