Karissa Courtney
Master's student
Karissa earned her B.S. in Ecology from Seattle Pacific University where she studied an island population of black-tailed deer in the San Juan Islands. She is now pursuing her M.S. in Ecology and is a Fellow with the National Forest Foundation.
Her research focuses on community capacity to mitigate wildfire in Colorado and she has been part of the larger CoNIFER project since February 2021.
