Colorado Tourism Research Network

Dear Colleagues,

Please considering joining the newly established Colorado Tourism Research Network (CTRN). More information regarding the CTRN will be included here as the network develops. The invitation from the Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) is included below:

——

Dear Colorado Academia Friends,

I am writing on behalf of the Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) to invite you to help shape a new statewide initiative: the Colorado Tourism Research Network (CTRN).

Destination stewardship is a core priority for CTO. In 2024, we launched the Colorado Destination Stewardship Strategic Plan to advance tourism in ways that protect what makes Colorado special while strengthening both resident quality of life and the visitor experience.

As we move from planning to implementation, we recognize the need to strengthen how we measure tourism’s impacts and to better connect academic research and student learning with real-world destination decision-making. In partnership with Dr. Christina T. Cavaliere, Tenured Associate Professor at Colorado State University, we are convening an exploratory meeting to gauge interest and discuss how this network might be structured and sustained.

If you are interested in participating, please complete the following Doodle Poll to help us identify a date for this initial virtual meeting.

We also encourage you to share this invitation with colleagues who may be interested. If you have any questions in advance of the meeting, please feel free to reach out to me or Dr. Christina T. Cavaliere (cc’d on this email).

We look forward to the opportunity to collaborate.
