We study stream fish populations and assemblages at multiple spatial and temporal scales to provide scientific information that is useful for conservation and management of stream ecosystems that are often impacted by human activities and global change. Our approach uses some combination of fieldwork, laboratory analyses and experiments, and advanced statistical analysis to understand intricate relationships among fish, the environment and people.
