Brook trout
I have been studying brook trout ecology in its native range on the east coast and its non-native range in Colorado. I am currently studying effects of climate and land-use change on brook trout in the Southeast USA with a group of collaborators. We have employed advanced statistical techniques to understand population responses to environmental changes at multiple spatial and temporal scales.
Cutthroat trout
Cutthroat trout populations have declined in much of their native range in the western USA. I am studying cutthroat trout in Colorado by assessing intra- and inter-population differences to inform conservation actions of the unique native species.
