Design Matrix Labels

Several sets of labels are available with the design matrix to help the user interpret the output.

For each row in the design matrix, corresponding to a real parameter, the type of the parameter is shown in a grey column near the middle of the design matrix.  These labels are for the real parameters, and will appear in numerical estimation output next to the parameter index for the real parameter estimates.

The heading of each column is labeled as Bx, where x is the column number and depends on whether the first column is labeled B0 or B1, an option that is set with Set Preferences.  In addition, you can right-click on the design matrix, and the popup menu Label option allows you to specify additional information for the column header.  Or, you can also select the Appearance | Label Columns option from the design matrix menu and enter identifying information for each of the design matrix columns.  Examples can be examined by using the Pre-defined Models option to create some design matrices.  These design matrix column headings or column labels will appear in numerical estimation output next to the beta parameter estimates.
